Question about lengthy commands

Could you let me know when the alias is ready for PRs?

Thanks for advice. Following https://github.com/golang/go/wiki/Ubuntu I am now on go 1.6. Surprised not to get 1.7 but that a different story!

One question that comes from this: Is there a way to specify a minimum required version of `go` in the project so that the `get` fails with a clearer message?
