this happened to me also: edit `/etc/rtinst/scripts/rutupgrade` and edit line 17 to this: ``` rurelease=$(git ls-remote -t https://github.com/Novik/ruTorrent v\* | cut -d/ -f3 | head -1) ``` works fine afterwards....

@stickz I'd be happy to, can spin up a VM and test whenever. I (unknowingly) updated a seperate machine to PHP8 almost a week ago and it's running perfectly fine...

the `mods` & `profiles` directories should probably be created too. the `skeleton` command does create all three so maybe that could be invoked prior to install? then all that'd need...
