Is it possible to use a "slug" property from the frontmatter if present, instead of using the title?
@joethei did you want some help on this? I know it's been a while, so no pressure if you've moved on and are over it. It's just the only plugin...
The easiest way to resolve this is to choose a different date format. It's not a direct solution, but it works for my purposes: https://github.com/mermaid-js/mermaid/issues/269
