As a workaround, I've followed the prompt [from here](https://community.openai.com/t/getting-response-data-as-a-fixed-consistent-json-response/28471/22?page=2) with a parser function (below) to just get the json object, just in case there are still explanations around the JSON....

Looks like OpenAI released [function calling ](https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/gpt/function-calling) yesterday in their latest gpt-3.5-turbo-0613 which allows native JSON rendering. Here's a [good writeup](https://yonom.substack.com/p/native-json-output-from-gpt-4) about using it.
