Rework the Main Editor/Sidebar positioning/scrollbar
Multiple people on HackerNews have said they would like to see an improved Main Editor/Sidebar positioning/scrolling.
So that the section you are editing is scrolled too in the main section, for example when you are editing that sections components. Im not sure what the best way to do this would be.
However, I will need to figure it out. I guess what could be done is, when a Component section is Clicked, for example the Jumbotron, the main editor section should jump to that section.
My knowledge of Absolute/Fixed positioning isnt good enough at the moment, i will need to find a way to make the Sidebar fixed, so that it is always where it is, and have the main section to be Jumped around. Still allowing the sidebar to be scrolled though, as that section's contents extend beyond the fold.
If anyone knows any articles I could read to get me up to scratch on techniques to achieve this, I would appreciate it!
Hey we were just talking about this in an email but with regards to the main container overflowing under and over the sidebar; it looks like you have media queries for the main container set to pixel widths. So for myself on a 13 inch mb air it's causing some issues. By just setting the container to a width: 100% appears to fix it and doesn't affect the sidebars media queries.
Hi Max, I will take a look at that then :) I will take a look at it tommorow and atleast get the overlapping issue sorted out, then I can start taking a look a the scrolling!!
