It's not possible as far as I can see. (If Mopidy wants to mimick MPD it should support the command)

you are both right But there is no other way to get the mod time of files. And there is no other way to sort by last added. :( Or...

I always thought the album cache should be enabled by default. I never had problems with it.
Maybe it was `max_output_buffer_size` (for all albums list?) - the only value I have set in mpd.conf.
As long as the album/artist combination respects album artists I see no problem with that concept and it has far less overhead than the sticker method.
Just run a http server on the NAS ...
