For me the linked pull request resolves this issue and #153.
A thing that might have gone wrong: On MS Windows wxWidgets is only recognized by cmake reliably if wxWidgets *hasn't* been compiled using cmake.
I have two accounts: One Gmail account and one at IONOS. If i stop being notified immediately on arrival of new mails, but mails still arrive at refresh or triggered...
Seems I didn't see you wrote an answer. Sorry for that - and tested it again with the wxWebview sample. The result is as I described: All my other wxWidgets...

I've now tried the webview sample from wxWidgets master with wayland. It doesn't how scrollbars, neither.
On Ubuntu 23.10 the difference used to be for me that one Screenshot has hidden scrollbars and the other cannot be scrolled. Might be a Wayland vs. X11 thinsp
