This is not a problem with `mimikatz` but with `Invoke-Mimikatz`. I've researched on this, but haven't found a way to fix this. It has also been mentioned [here](https://github.com/byt3bl33d3r/CrackMapExec/blob/master/cme/modules/mimikatz_enum_chrome.py#L33) and [here](https://forums.hak5.org/topic/44528-for-those-who-like-invoke-mimikatz-works-with-win10/?do=findComment&comment=335773).

Probably something in your visual studio build is wrong. It worked without any configuration on my machine
