Seems to be running fine now in Wayland, although it lacks the proper icon flags ` --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform,WaylandWindowDecorations --ozone-platform=wayland`  using [JoplinAppImage](https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/joplin-appimage) in KDE plasma 6.1.2

On further investigation I think this might be a plasma-6 issue. I logged in via Xorg and the icon wasn't there https://pointieststick.com/2023/08/12/how-all-this-icon-stuff-is-going-to-work-in-plasma-6/
