What is the difference between aioch and asynch except that asynch is brand new?

I have the same problem with jupyter lab 0.35.4 and python 3.7. On link http://localhost:8888/nbextensions I can see all extensions, turn them on/off, but they don't appear in the notebook.

Is there a list of all extensions that work with JupyterLab? What is actually an advantage of using JupyterLab instead of Jupyter Notebook?
