I did not find a solution and ended up running PhiSpy locally on a cluster to process many sequences. Although I did not find that it was worse than PHASTER.
Wondering if there's been any progress on resolving this issue? The new M2 machines are coming and I want to use this extension.
Thank you, seems there is good progress on Asahi Linux these days, even with GPU acceleration, so GNOME (and by extension the notch) should render very smoothly.
