I think it's mostly easy to make it automatic-ish. You could enforce a flag/label on each PR that a contributor must mark to say if it's a breaking change or...
To be totally honest, I haven't tested the framework yet. I wanted to know if there's anyone looking into the code or is it entirely unmaintained. I'll run some tests...
