In Kdenlive we've noticed crackles/pops when using 60fps projects. It doesn't happen with 24/30 fps though... Don't know if this is relevant but hope it helps find a fix: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410726
What version of Kdenlive are you using? I've seen issues with crackling happening with flac files, is your audio flac?

In Kdenlive, we have seen reports about crackling when working with either FLAC files or in 60fps projects. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407346#c14
Can you please test again with the latest version?
Since I'm running from a PKGBUILD arch script I couldn't figure out how to properly add the CXXFLAGS but changing the build type from Debug to Release fixes it.
If this is a good enough answer I can close it.
