Oh, I'm not expecting anything! I'm happy as a clam there's a well-tested backup solution that fits my current use-case, so I don't have to roll my own. :-)

Makes sense. It's just a sample textbox so you can see immediately what the settings (speed, opacity) do. Might be even quicker to enter settings than start a new game...

Make sure that the openjfx package is the same version as the jre. By default it'll install the newest version (11), if you want 8, you'll have to force that...
Figures. Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is old enough to still have both in the repos ... FWIW, I couldn't get JStock to work properly at all, with any version of OpenJDK....
Chiming in to say I'm (still) not affected, not on my Deck nor on any of the four Linux boxes I have Steam on. Shader caches are re-downloaded in bulk...
