i'm assuming the [dtx platform driver](https://github.com/linux-surface/kernel/blob/8b87bc2d8d00488493dc389fe768d6f9ad034fff/drivers/platform/surface/surface_dtx.c) would have to be extended first? What is needed to that end? Does it require reversing the matching windows drivers?
Same thing happening here - Using Steam (and gamescope by extension) through flatpak; the games i've noticed this happening on are Team Fortress 2 (native) and City of Brass (proton)....
This would require an additional "Show Above Other Apps" permission, yes? I'd like to implement this myself but have no familiarity with the code. Might take a look at it.
