I still use Chit Chat because it uses a Safari web view. WhatsApp Desktop uses a Chrome web view and doesn't work with OSX text replacements.

Tried out the code you provided. Worked great for a couple of days. Today when I opened Ableton while my script was running it crashed again with the following error...
