Not all style changes are written in the default style. This was a design decision and for some styles it is questionable whether they should go in or not.
We did our own implementation and it will be in the next release.
For now, put a space in for every path element: "M 142.49,30.493 C 141.45,6.455,94.925,0.499,70.118,0.499 C ...". there will be a fix for this soon.
