Since you were clicking button cancel, you are invoking success callback. To handle exception on iOS devices i suggest - add this to success callback: `if (date === undefined) {...
As i can see this is not still implemented. @herrstucki @rtessier is there a need still to implement this? I am willing to do it.
I agree this was a premature PR. I think it might be easier to add this cleanup earlier so we can just press the button later.
