This will most likely break cloud saves and I'm not sure if this will work with games using 3rd party DRM. I'll include it as an option.
This is most likely caused by a very old or incorrect installation of the Epic Games Launcher. Launchers on other disks work fine as long as they were installed properly....

Interesting, let's keep this open until the beta goes to stable, no harm in figuring it out anyway.
Have you tried restarting xdg-desktop-portal after entering desktop mode? `systemctl restart --user xdg-desktop-portal`
