Same thing happens for example with CRD `prometheus.monitoring.coreos.com`, when trying too add `spec.alerting.alertmanagers`, the errors are raised for non-required attributes. It is also a list of maps
Update: Everything passes if all (optional) fields are present
Final update, the workaround is to either recreate the resource, or to add a new item in the list with ALL fields filled, then deleting those fields once that's applied.
