You can specify a different message terminator byte, defaulting to '\n' to keep backwards compatible.

As @maddie commented on issue #5 , same issue affects arm and same solution solves it. Tests passes on Raspberry PI.

This function is nice to be able to control what appear in newrelic transactions, specially when you have path parameters in your URIs.
