Thanks for the quick response. I have tried both on/off the hardware acceleration, but no luck. May I know which emulator device you run for API 31 ?

I've further tested on Pixel 2 API 31 and the Pixel 5 API 32 emulators, both worked. And I re-created the Pixel 5 API 31 elmulator, but still failed.
