I did find a gist that is pretty complete implementation wise to possibly fix this issue. https://gist.github.com/fernandohu/122e88c3bcd210bbe41c608c36306db9 I haven't implemented it yet, but plan on taking a closer look soon....

Originally thought it was due to the test runner I was using, but after further investigation, it's definitely looking like a `karma` / `Chrome` issue. I haven't tested other browsers...
