Are you waiting for the `deviceready` event to fire before making the call?

I am hoping to get back into the core of this project soon and will look into this when I do. For now, I do not know of a solution...

I'll have to look into that. I think most people use the native back button, but I can see if it's possible to add one to the view as well.

I originally tested on my Nexus 4 running 4.3, I will run a test on 4.4 and verify.
