Curious, this thread was started in 2013 and I have searched for a solution on Google for a couple of hours now. So, I've made a good effort at figuring...
Also, can install PySide on earlier versions of Ubuntu from PPA. Instructions here: http://qt-project.org/wiki/PySide_Binaries_Linux
