Maybe that issue arises due to IBT being enabled in the kernel per default [since 6.2](https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-IBT-By-Default-Tip) Hence, a potential fix would be [PR#47](https://github.com/misc0110/PTEditor/pull/47)

also, in theory that [bit position can change](https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP5/html/SLES-all/article-amd-sev.html). It, however, [looks like it's always the uppermost bit of the PFN range](https://dse.in.tum.de/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/sigmetrics25summer-CVM-Explained.pdf). Hence, we should *probably* be fine for all machines...
