same issue, everything works on IOS except the getInitialMessage call which always returns null for me, on android getInitialMessage works without issues. `firebase_core: ^2.12.0 firebase_messaging: ^14.6.1`

@russellwheatley thanks a lot! I will check the example app, do you think that the sequence of calls to Firebase could cause the issues? The weird thing, for me everything...
