What do you mean jump between databases? Do you mean for a multi-tenant system where you can have a database per tenant? If not, is this something you will support?

Never mind, I was trying to use http://localhost:5000/ instead of http://localhost:5000/api/Values like a dummy. Though I still think the **dotnet new webapi* command doesn't produce a "bare metal" api project.
