I'm still having this problem, the project looks currently dead and the pull request was not merged. Does anyone created and maintained a fork with this fix?
Now it doesn't work at all. I only see an empty gray window with "Electron" as title. Edit: resizing or clicking around, has the effect to make it work again....

As much as I know, the tensorflow implementation uses conv2d in order to leverage the optimization provided by cudnn, which is not available for conv1d.
