I think it's a good idea, deciding how it should be mapped is a lot of responsibility for this project to take on, and everyone will have their unique needs....
Having the same problem as well. All I want is the location of gyms and pokestops.
Same thing happening to me as well.
One way to get around this if you just need it installed, is to use an older repo like https://archive.archlinux.org/repos/2016/02/01/$repo/os/$arch, and then update.
Try using something like: sudo sh -e installer/main.sh -m ' https://archive.archlinux.org/repos/2016/02/01/$repo/os/$arch' -r arch -t xfce You will need to update your mirrors once you install, else it will constantly check...
@Arthurwu24 unfortunately that didn't work for me and it wouldn't update the mirror. You might need to edit /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.
@Arthurwu24 The [arch linux archive](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_Linux_Archive) stores snapshots of the repositories, and this is how we are able to install a previous version. If you want to use this download strategy...
