@kian @costinm I tried out the old-style `cert-chain.pem` option by following the ["plug in"](https://istio.io/latest/docs/tasks/security/cert-management/plugin-ca-cert/) docs, unfortunately this resulted in the same peer certificate error. My set up is slightly different...
