Any reason why nothing shows on the map for a private network? The map is blank but everything else seems to be reporting correctly.
Confirming this behavior still exists. Any idea if there is an acknowledgement of whether or not it is a bug or intended behavior?

So to be clear, status-react providers are NOT using websockets. In order to fix this, then we need to use them, correct?
this isn't a terribly security sensitive issue. I ask because of V1 audit scope. Events processing in dapps is pretty big though for usability and interactivity within the app.

Looking at the Ropsten implementation now, I think this should be refactored to be a keyword argument in the default client, which overrides the PREFIX with the correct endpoint when...

I agree, this would be great! I'll take a look at writing it in over the next week if you don't get around to making a PR.
