That's correct - we intentionally chose to support a v4 minimum owing to broken support for `defaultPath` in save dialogs. If there are other options that guarantee support for that...

@bpasero could you try updating your version of xdg-desktop-portal and xdg-desktop-portal-gtk? that would confirm my theory that it's to do with upstream support added recently!
