It looks like the documentation has been [updated](https://github.com/aws-samples/aws-serverless-workshops/commit/559f1a08ca738b47537ae16c57c8dd45db34dad5#diff-0cdceedf64700c201942ebe7bea21da3R61) to set the CloudFront default to redirect HTTP to HTTPS.
@jesperalmstrom the bot suggests nodejs10.x as it's currently the latest version of Node supported by Lambda@Edge. I've bumped the version to 12 manually. 😄
