For anyone reading this. Do not expect portability from shell scripts. Unix has x number of lineages and descendants, each with slightly different implementations -> always try out shell scripts...
Is there any particular direction you are thinking in terms of this? We are using extractous in production and this is one of the upcoming use cases. @nmammeri
