Yep, its kinda broken. I will investigate.
Recurring events can be complex, Basic version is working but far from perfect.
It could be possible to select the first N events instead of a date range, but that is non-trivial. It's basically a feature request that has to be prioritized.
The main focus of this project is the map. Maps load fast, fetching google calendar event location info and then getting coords for it take a bit longer, too long...
