I'm having this issue too, but I'm running it on arch linux
I know its been a while, but it seems to still be happening. I'm running into this issue too. Im on arch linux with KDE Plasma 6 on wayland.
I've been dealing with this same issue (-16) all night, and reading a lot of issues. HTTPS has worked, its just annoying to type in my PAT every single time...
