@mrobinson this task is listed as 'open' in https://starters.servo.org/ , but it seems that yezhizhen is still working on it as of a few weeks ago.
i got a little hung up on the fact that i didn't actually test the changes i made, i just hoped that the pattern in the codebase makes sense. but...
