+1 here also. Very confusing. I've also found that the Authorize attribute doesnt really protect you from expired tokens also. https://github.com/aspnet/AspNetCore/issues/5283 So with Websockets, once you set up a connection.....
That's a good point above; I don't know why I didn't think of that as I'd seen it used elsewhere... Definitely would be nice to have an option though, especially...
