After updating kotlin.version property to 1.4.21 it worked for me Tested with openjdk version "11.0.2" 2019-01-15 and openjdk version "15" 2020-09-15

seems it is crashing when rendering https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/4424970 the bounds field is a empty prototype with methods but no data...
