bringing this back up; i use those 3 mods but have had this issue on wheat seeds. 
I assume my problem is the same as this, any update?
update: this happens with elemental sentries even without modifying them they just randomly hang the server when the entity theyre targetting dies to another sentry.

I can also attest to the fact itemphysic full causes this - supposedly its to do with entities being far too high/low in the world, and is a vanilla bug:...
you can already do that with tags, check the curseforge page for the example nbt tag
No way to NBT filter no, only way is to apply the nbt tag yourself somehow. Before i resourcepack-ify lootbeams configs this is out of scope, it is planned though.

what happened to cause this crash? the only way i've had this happen is from an explosion and even then it was super rare
Yeah previous version didn't have item caching. Looking into it but it seems funky to fix.
yeah, make an issue on the shader's page, this isnt really something to do with loot beams specifically as other shaders work fine
