Hi Chris. Love your work! Have you ever looked into Registry tweaks? There are some really good ones, which can improve user experience - NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate, NtfsMemoryUsage, MenuShowDelay, HoverTime, disabling balloons,...

From my personal experience disabling NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate and disabling "Server" service brought biggest perceivable performance improvement. Explorer just became much livelier.
