I know this is an old issue, but in case anyone else runs into this, I bumped into this problem because I had Hadoop's `yarn` command installed. See https://github.com/yarnpkg/yarn/issues/673.
The CI fails with `lein2` errors. I suspect #9 would fix that. The tests pass locally on my machine.
Calling .close() doesn't solve the problem. Neither does passing in a new DOMNode with the element option. I suspect something in OpenSeadragon needs to be changed.
The next step is to get an example case working with just turbolinks and seadragon and open an issue on seadragon. I'm leaving this open as a reminder to do...
