Makes sense. I was thinking dbus/runtime thing rather than compile time API mostly because it avoids build time dep on maliit-framework/keyboard. But I guess it's okay.. :+1:
There is no compositor currently with text-input-v1 support. EDIT: apparantly I was wrong, kwin does seem to support it still.
What compositor you're running against? And for Wayland you should use the maliit-keyboard directly, and not maliit-server
@sedrubal : Did you get it to install perfectly? if yes, can you post APK somewhere?
Alright, I did spend some time on why this is not working, so in fact your APK is fine but its recovery which is failing. Its because recovery doesn't have...
Just random note that patched recovery is no-longer necessary.. :-)
