It comes from pycolmap's SceneManager ([here](https://github.com/trueprice/pycolmap/blob/master/pycolmap/scene_manager.py#L73)). There is another function that loads images ([here](https://github.com/trueprice/pycolmap/blob/master/pycolmap/scene_manager.py#L127-L137)) so you should be fine
