As Willy stated, there are no good default behavior. HAProxy is only the "dns client" and it's up to the admin to either ensure the DNS server is configured properly...
From my point of view, this is not a "dns subsystem" issue anymore, so we can remove this label from the issue. That said, whoever will work on this one...
