is it intentional that markdown doesn't apply if the start and end of it are on new lines? 
a temporary solution to a bigger problem
still affects 0.0.53
upon testing, the second press can be placed on the android status bar, as it does nothing unless you drag down the notifications bar
this is still an issue as of this nightly build for 15-dev: 29d3ad8
