[Ruby] [1.61.0] crash: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::logic_error' what(): basic_string::_S_construct null not valid

We had same error on Ruby 3.2.2, grpc 1.56.2 on alpine:3.16. Our google pubsub subscriber stopped pulling any message after that error.
