Is hardware flow control enabled in libxbee / XBee module? Do you have the lines connected?
Not currently - please feel free to implement one and submit a pull request! You could look through the files (e.g: https://github.com/attie/libxbee3/tree/master/modes/xbee3) to compare with the SX API command set....
