Created a PR that can hopefully address it -- at least the way I've been using Ficus in my app. See: https://github.com/ceedubs/ficus/pull/11

Was able to reproduce but haven't found a solution yet. Gonna need to investigate further.

Thanks to @opyate and @ksvladimir for the update to the original patch. I have implemented it in my fork.
